Who is called Father of pharmacy in India?
The Father of pharmacy in India is C. V. Seshadri. He was an Indian scientist and academician who founded the Indian Pharmaceutical Association in 1936. He was a pioneer in establishing pharmacy as a separate profession in India and worked to make the profession more organized. He also founded the first Indian Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Chennai in 1935. He was instrumental in getting the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress organized in 1938 in Bombay.
